Keeping warm here is very different from California...

Hello! I'm an actor, dialect coach, combatant, and fight designer in the wonderful city of Chicago!

I'm a graduate of the Theatre School at DePaul University with an MFA in Acting. I've also studied theater at UC Berkeley and American Conservatory Theater. Before moving to Chicago, I grew up in Irvine, CA and completed my undergrad education at UC Berkeley (biology- I LOVE PLANTS). Then I decided to move to the amazing frozen tundra that is Chicago. I love it.

In addition to all that theater stuff, I'm also fluent in Farsi and a burgeoning knitter (still trying to master socks). I'm one of those people who has tons of half completed craft projects all over my living space.

Current productions!

Vahishta was the dialect coach on the now open production of Vietgone at Writers Theatre. It's a beautiful love story that just happens to take play during the Vietnam War. Vahishta was so proud to be a part of this amazingly diverse group of desginers and artists. Hope to see you there! (industry and student tickets available)

Coming up next...

This fall Vahishta be acting with (re)discover theatre in they new production Les Innocents/The Innocents. It's "an immersive queer thriller for every soul" and she can't wait to explore the afterlife with this group of creators right around Halloween!

At the same time this fall, Vahishta will again be working as a dialect coach with Remy Bumppo Theatre Company on their upcoming production of Frankenstein. She is so excited to work with Remy Bummpo, and director Ian Frank, once again!
